SCI COMMUNITY

The CatWalk Trust works collaboratively with the following organisations and groups to help expediate the discovery of a cure for Spinal Cord Injury, and to promote heightened communication between groups and encourage shared utilisation of resources and expertise for the good of those affected by Spinal Cord Injury.

 

The CatWalk Trust is a member of the International Campaign for Cures of Spinal Cord Injury Paralysis (ICCP).

The ICCP is a body of affiliate non-profit organisations working to fund research into cures for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury.  The ICCP coalition mission is 'to expediate the discovery of cures for Spinal Cord Injury Paralysis'.

Other members of ICCP include; Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, Craig H Neilsen Foundation, French Institute for Spinal Cord Research, International Foundation for Research in Paraplegia, Japan Spinal Cord Foundation, Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Rick Hansen Man in Motion Foundation, Spinal Cure Australia, Neil Sachse Foundation, Spinal Research, Wings for Life.

 

 ANZSCIN was established in 2007 to advance research and clinical trials into spinal cord injury and disease.

Supported by the New South Wales Government, this Network draws together leading researchers, clinicians and key stakeholders from Australia and New Zealand.

ANZSCIN is working towards accelerating treatments for spinal cord injury and disease, addressing consumer priorities and improving practice.  The Network creates inclusive processes and clear structures that promote communication and collaboration between researchers, health professionals, consumers, polititicians and government departments.  In doing so, ANZSCIN is building the platform for collective, coordinated research.

 

The New Zealand Spinal Trust is a registered charity providing information, education, research, advocacy and support to people who have spinal cord impairment so that they can enjoy independence.

The Trust works in collaboration with a number of entities, including health boards, ACC and the Ministry of Health to provide the resources required for people to take control of their own rehabilitation and therefore their lives.

 

Back-Up New Zealand is a national charity which has been created specifically to offer people with disabilities the same outdoor pursuit opportunities as people without disabilities.  Back-Up prides itself on being able to cater for any disability and independence level and therefore ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to Know No Boundaries.
