Catriona Williams

Catriona has ridden since she was four. It all began with her mother Maureen where she sat on the front of the saddle while the mustering was done. Family support and encouragement helped Catriona attain accolades in the Equestrian world that include twice winner of New Zealand Pony of the Year, Two and Three Star National Titles and New Zealand representation internationaly in both eventing and showjumping. A personal high was riding with Mark Todd, Blyth Tait, Vaughn Jefferies, Andrew Nicholson and Sally Clark in the New Zealand Team at the Open Europeans at Burghly, England where she finished 15th as an individual.

Her love of horses has never dwindled even after a fall off a borrowed mount on the 10th November 2002. Which left her as a Tetraplegic. She has continued with support from the equestrian community in a role as presenter on Equestrian Sports. Catriona also contributes articles to magazines on request.

Catriona's reason for supporting the CatWalk Trust as both the founder and chairperson is for the sole reason of not just walking but dancing again with her husband again. She also doesn’t want anyone to unnecessarily endure what she has been through over the past years.
