Paula Petrie

Paula Petrie, a Scot, is a businesswoman and mother who thrives on being in the company of others!

Paula graduated in Business Studies from the Aberdeen College of Commerce then completed a postgraduate diploma in Hospitality and Event Management at QMUC in Edinburgh.

She managed events for The National Trust for Scotland, The Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race, Hopetoun House Edinburgh and her own company, Toucan Events, before joining her family’s milk retailing business, which she guided to doubling its sales at the same time as propagating a number of other small businesses in the food industry.

Paula moved to New Zealand in 2000 with her New Zealand born husband, Tundy, but maintains business interests in the United Kingdom.

While starting a family in the Wairarapa, Paula has lent her business skills to ventures both locally and in Wellington. She brings considerable experience of charity fundraising to CatWalk Trust having run numerous events in Scotland for a children’s charity, an arts trust, a school and a university.

Time out for Paula is at home with the family, having a sneaky snooze in her hammock looking out over the stunning Wairarapa countryside or pottering around their farm on her trusty steed, Riverstone!
