Following on from his PhD work that used gene therapy to break down scar tissue along with exercise rehabilitation, Dr Jarred Griffin started a project using this approach for chronic SCI (long-term wheelchair users).
This project applies the therapy to a chronic injury model to give an indication if the genetic therapy to break apart scar tissue used in combination with rehabilitation, can reverse damage much later after the initial injury.
