  • Thinking Cap – a novel SCI rehab technique

At Griffith University, Dr Dinesh Palipana and a team of other researchers are busy trialling a specialised helmet – the ‘Thinking Cap’. The Thinking Cap is equipped with electronics that supply Electrical Stimulation from the brain to the lower limbs in hope of rewiring the actual spinal cord. This mechanism is to encourage a thought process that in turn will then promote function by rewiring the spinal cord.
