TEAM CATWALK FOR THE NEW YORK CITY MARATHON 2018
Expressions of interest are now being taken for the 2018 NYM CatWalk Team.
Now preparing for his fourth campaign, CatWalk Trust deputy chairman, Dave Pretorius, has taken it upon himself to cajole every friend, friend of friends, and business associate he’s encountered to join him in running the epic TCS New York City Marathon, and he would love for you to be a part of this epic event that is now firmly a part of the CatWalk Trust fundraising calendar.
Spaces in the marathon are hard to come by as an individual. CatWalk are fortunate to have guaranteed spaces through Marathon Tours. Don’t delay – register your interest by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you information about how you can be involved in this awesome team.
ABOUT THE NEW YORK MARATHON
The first New York City Marathon, organized in 1970 by Fred Lebow and Vince Chiappetta, was held entirely in Central Park. Of 127 entrants, only 55 men finished; the sole female entrant dropped out due to illness. Winners were given inexpensive wristwatches and recycled baseball and bowling trophies. The entry fee was $1 and the total event budget was $1,000.
CatWalk first had a team in the marathon in 2010. The tradition continues in 2018 and to date over $1.0 million has been raised by Team CatWalk since 2010.
