Too Darn Hot nomination to be auctioned in support of CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust.
Our sincerest thanks to Darley, Watership Down Stud, Godolphin for making this incredible opportunity a reality.
A nomination in the Darley stallion Too Darn Hot, will be auctioned this month to raise funds for CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust.
The initiative, a collaboration between Godolphin, Watership Down Stud and CatWalk will see all proceeds from the nomination go directly toward funding critical research to help those living with spinal cord injuries.
Andy Makiv, Managing Director of Godolphin Australia, said it was a wonderful opportunity to support a great cause by breeding to an elite stallion.
Too Darn Hot is co-owned and was bred by Watership Down Stud, the UK-based operation owned by Lord and Lady Lloyd Webber. The Darley stallion shuttles from his base at Godolphin’s Dalham Hall in the UK and here in Australia he has sired the Champion and four-time Group One winner Broadsiding.
Being named Champion Second Season Sire in Australia, after taking out the first-season title last year, puts him in elite company. He is the only shuttle stallion to achieve this since Danehill and it’s a credit to the horse and everyone behind him.”
CatWalk Spinal Cord Injury Trust, founded by Dame Catriona Williams after she sustained a life-changing spinal cord injury in 2002, is committed to curing spinal cord injury through world-class research, global collaboration, and patient-focused initiatives. Based in New Zealand, the Trust funds a wide range of programmes – from scientific discovery to therapeutic development – driving progress both locally and internationally toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

The nomination will be offered as Lot 1 in the Inglis Digital August (Late) Online Sale, which runs from 22–27 August. For media enquiries, please contact: Morgan Thomas, Marketing and Media Manager, 0422 450 363, mthomas@godolphin.com
